Nurses

Responsibilities :

As a nurse working with Médecins SansFrontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF), you can help ensure access to lifesaving healthcare for people in need. MSF nurses:

• coordinate medical activities inthe hospital
• supervise and train staff
• support policy development

MSF’s locally-hired medical staff provide direct care. Nurses only administer hands-on medical care in acute crisis situations requiring triage and surgery.

Essential Requirements :

• full and current registration
• minimum two years relevant post qualification work experience
• available to work six to 9 months
• experience supervising, training and managing others
• strong command of English
• relevant travel or work experience in a developing country

Desirable experience

• emergency room, pediatrics, infectious diseases, nutrition, obstetrics, operating room, HIV/AIDS, public health
• tropical nursing
• knowledge of other languages, especially French and Arabic
