- Location: based in Prague, Czechia, occasional travel to Geneva

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is one of the largest humanitarian and medical organizations in the world with projects in more than 70 countries. It focuses on providing emergency medical assistance to populations affected by wars, natural disasters or lack of basic health care.
Learning and Development (L&D) Unit in the Operational Center in Geneva analyzes needs, defines, and implements strategies, mechanisms, and tools to enhance the knowledge and skills of staff, in line with the organization’s goals, values and choices. The aim is to ensure the global workforce has access to solutions to develop their skills, grow in their field of competence and perform better in their roles.
We are looking for a new colleague on a position L&D Support Officer that will join our L&D Unit. This role is responsible for the organization and administration of learning programs and learning events. Providing organizational and technical support to L&D Unit and counterparts so that the learning solutions are implemented in a learner-centred manner.
The position is based in Prague, Czechia, and is part of a team working remotely for the L&D Unit and reports to the L&D Support Coordinator in Geneva.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- You keep the overview: responsible for coordinating the administrative, logistical and organisational aspects of learning activities within the organisation (both face-to-face and online). Accompany learners on their learning journey handling tasks such as communication with participants, arranging flights and visas, booking hotels, processing expense claims, and managing the L&D email address.
- Technical expertise is key: provide technical and organizational support to learners and trainers in blended learnings and virtual classes. Occasionally co-facilitate sessions.
- Good preparation ensures the success: act as focal point for specific learning programs (e.g., language courses or external partnerships), advertise and publish our courses and support the selection of learners. Keep track of training records and L&D offers, and ensure that our database is up to date.
- High quality makes the difference: Propose and contribute to the elaboration of tools and procedure related to the organization of learning activities in the frame of the digital transformation. Provide recommendations for improvement.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
Required:
- Degree in HR, andragogy, L&D, administration or equivalent work experience: at least one-year professional experience in the relevant field
- Excitement to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team
- Proven interest in adult learning theory, learning styles and learner needs
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to details, ability to work on different projects at the same time and working to deadlines
- Be comfortable to speak and present in front of a group or audience
- Enjoyment in communicating with different people in excellent English (both written and spoken)
- User knowledge of MS Office (we work on the MS 365 platform - especially MS Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel), good command of collaborative tools like Zoom, Mural, Mentimeter
- Enthusiasm and interest in humanitarian and medical aid and understanding of MSF values and charter
- Legal entitlement to work in the Czechia (residency, valid work visa etc.)
Desired, but not mandatory:
- Experience in MSF or other humanitarian organization
- Knowledge of French language
WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?
- A meaningful job: You will support our humanitarian goals with immediate effect in a Full-time one year Employment Contract
- Fair starting monthly gross remuneration from 38.900 CZK based on experience, in accordance with the MSF's internal remuneration policy
