How to apply
If you meet the stated requirements for a mission and are interested in working with MSF, contact us by phone or fill out the registration form and send it to us.
We will send you information material and will invite you for an information evening that takes place regularly (in Prague, Brno and Bratislava). Here, those interested will receive basic information about the organization, the working methods and concrete projects of MSF.As part of the further selection procedure you receive an application form after the information evening, which you send back to us with your documents. We will evaluate your application and based upon it, decide if we will invite you to an interview or to our assessment centre.
Through this multi-tiered selection process we want to ensure that you possess all of the necessary criteria and that only the most suitable candidates are sent to the designated MSF projects.
If the selection process turns out to be positive, participation in a preparation course will then be discussed, depending upon availability.
At the preparation course you will receive a general, practice-oriented view of the medical and non-medical work of MSF. After completing this course we will inform you as soon as a suitable position has been found for you. As long as you are in agreement with the offer, your departure can follow very quickly (between 48 hours and six weeks). Attention: free places for humanitarian aid cannot be thoroughly planned. Therefore, finding a suitable position can sometimes take longer, and as such, your flexibility can often be put to the test during preparation for a mission.
The departure for a mission always goes through one of the MSF operational centers in Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Geneva, or Barcelona, where a one or multi-day project preparation briefing will take place.
